Live Streaming at Opera For All 

For the first time, the Bavarian State Opera is offering live streaming online of its Opera for All broadcast of Fidelio on 8 July. Opera lovers from all over the world will have the opportunity to experience Beethoven's opera of liberation in real time at

In the main roles, Anja Kampe is appearing as Leonore and Jonas Kaufmann as Florestan, and Adam Fischer will conduct the Bavarian State Orchestra. This year, the event will be introduced by TV presenter Thomas Gottschalk. The new production by the Spanish director Calixto Bieito premiered in the National Theatre in December 2010.

The performance of Fidelio on July 08 starts at 8 p.m. The live broadcast will start at 7.45 p.m. Central European Time with an introduction to the work by Thomas Gottschalk and theatre director Nikolaus Bachler.
