It's all change again on the Wagner "circuit".One of the Tristans I am looking forward to this year is Welsh National Opera's revival of Yannis Kokkos' rather fine production (more here). Jay Hunter Morris was originally scheduled to perform Tristan but having now taken on Siegfried for the MET that is no longer possible.
Originally of course Ben Heppner was to play Siegfried at the MET before he pulled from there. However, it may be that the MET's loss proves to be WNO gain as he will now be performing Tristan for them alongside Ann Petersen's Isolde.
