We hope we can be forgiven just this once (it won't become a trend we promise) but we are "fans" of both Rutger Hauer and the Blue Whale. And we suspect Wagner would have approved.
From the editing suite of Rutger Hauer and
Sil van der Woerd comes a wonderfully solemn
short film that subtly points the finger at the
whaling industry. The morose blue whale, the last one left, glides gracefully through the air displaying upon its body the torment that it and its kinfolk have been subjected to. The man watches on as the whale meets its final match and although their is pain in his eyes he just cannot stop himself…
The last remaining blue whale comes eye to eye with its only enemy; mankind.
The film was directed by Rutger Hauer & Sil van der Woerd, who felt an urge to bring attention to the ongoing whaling.
