Last year saw possibly one of the most intriguing Rheingolds ever presented: Fulham Opera's fully staged production held in St John's Church, Fulham.At the time, we interviewed Artistic Director, Ben Woodward (click here for the full interview) during which he tantalizing mentioned the possibility of their Cycle continuing this year with a new production of Walkure. Well, not only has this now been confirmed but also dates of a future Siegfried and Gotterdammerung in February and April 2013, culminating with two entire cycles between May and June 2013. More details as I get them.
